What Example Will They Follow?

We want our students to be successful, to be diligent, and to be lifelong learners. We want them all to have everything they need, everything we had, and then more. We hope for their best as we guide them along. 

We push them to do more than they know they can do because we believe their potential is limitless. 

How do we expect them to do these things?  

By working harder, by going the extra mile, by always seeking the best they can be. We set the expectations, and we push them to exceed them. 

What about our own expectations?  How high have we set them?  How far are we willing to push ourselves?  Some days we are barely making it through, but most days we are pushing beyond what is normally possible. 

We can be the best teacher they have ever had. We can show them what hard work and perseverance look like. We can be the example we want them to follow because we know what it means to do more than expected. 

So today, choose one moment to go beyond what's expected. Your students may not always remember everything taught, but they will remember how you made them believe in what is possible.
