Step Into My Shoes

“I value teachers who make me feel like they're walking with me every step of the way, almost as if they're stepping in my shoes. When they share their experiences and personal tips and tricks, …provide valuable guidance as I navigate through new concepts and challenges.” - Ahmad

You remember what it was like to be lost in the directions of an assignment, to not want to write a second draft of an essay or the panic of the night before a big test or presentation.

You probably also remember when something finally became clear, when you were genuinely praised for something you wrote, and when you nailed that test or presentation.

You have overcome so many tasks and challenges that you have built a pretty nice toolbox to tackle your world with.

Remember our students are trying to build their library of knowledge with only a screwdriver; they have so few tools. Share what you have learned. Tell them a story or give them a little tip.

Let them know you have walked in their shoes.
