Show Me How to Persist

My teacher was always there for me whenever I had questions or needed help, but she also taught me to look for answers on my own and that I could search and discern information myself. She showed me that being adaptable and persistent is important in life.

It is precious to have a teacher like that. It was like she opened up another way for me to think. -Karynne

Being adaptable and persistent might be enough to sum up what we hope for our students, right after being a good human. All three of those traits are so hard to achieve, but the success rate in our classrooms is pretty high.

That is due to the fact that our classrooms are safe places to ask questions, to take risks, to step out of comfort zones, to fail and recover, and to explore personalities and perspectives while learning to be a good friend and neighbor.

It is a lot but…

We make it happen every day.

As much as we prepare students for the “real world” out there, we get to cultivate a very cool world in here.

Have fun creating your world today and inviting all of those young eager minds to play in it.
